Well, this was quite the experience. CT3 and I both thought we would go for a relaxing, healing swim in the mineral filled water of the Dead Sea. We were excited about spending time at the lowest place in the world (some 1,200 feet below sea level) and on the bus ride there we discussed what our floating techniques would be.
I have done this previously, however, it is always an exciting experience and any opportunity I have to swim it I will surely take advantage of. As we drove, our guide Eitan said we were running out of time and would have to hurry before the public beach area closed. CT3 and I figured this meant 20 minutes versus an hour. No so much.
Upon changing CT3 and I scooted down to the beach. The life guard began blowing his whistle to clear the water as we were wading in. I panicked and ran in and plopped down for a quick photo op. CT3 kneeled and neither one of us had our floating experience that we had been hoping for.
I am sorry to say that my pride will not allow me to post the pictures. Since the pictures were not good and since we didn’t get to properly float, I guess this means a return trip, huh!?
