It’s a boy!!! I cannot believe I have four kids and three little boys – and I can’t believe that the newest little Train has already been here for a week and a few days!!
When he was delivered and announced it was a boy we were all surprised and thrilled all in one! I didn’t really have a gut feeling as to what this one was, but I carried him like I carried Annie M and lots of friends commented that it was probably a girl and the kids referred to “her” for lots of my pregnancy, so I had pink on the brain!
To me, sometimes I think he looks exactly like Brother and sometimes just like Moose! He is a cutie pie for sure and we are soaking in the newborn snuggles. The kids are obsessed with him. Like want to constantly hold him, touch him, play with him, pet him, hold his hands and wake him obsessed.
Its pretty cute actually, but since two here in the house have had colds since the day we came home from the hospital, I have been a bit neurotic about hand washing and trying to keep them apart unless seriously supervised – though some days, my best efforts have been in vain.
I know he’s still the new kid on the block and there is ample time for him to wake up and rebel, but so far, he has been totally chill and easy. I am thankful for friends and family who have delivered meals, thankful that my husband has FOUR WEEKS OFF (yep, you read that correct!!), thankful for a great delivery and a quick recovery (like haven’t taken any meds since a few hours post delivery!) and thankful for a healthy baby. I’ll recap his birth story at some point, but for now, I wanted to properly welcome my little dude to blog land and show off a few pictures from his birthday!
First up, a few quick pics from the hospital. My sister took all pictures below. She is awesome. She has been in the room with me for all four deliveries, stayed up all night, taken pictures all day, snuggled babies and chased kids in between and not one complaint has come out of her mouth. She works full time as well as is in school working on her Masters, so its not like she sits around doing nothing! She has been with us each step of the way and my fam and I are lucky (and thankful!) to have her! …Also, her and her husband make really cool “AUNT” and “UNCLE” shirts for photo ops. Ha!
This past weekend, Kristin came over to snap a few pictures of our crew. Birth announcements have been ordered (thank you, Minted!) and I cant wait to get them out. More to come, but here were some of my favorite pictures from our mini shoot this weekend.
Very thankful for my kids, family, husband, pup, Jesus and all. It’s been a good week.
