Yesterday I posted the Bert costume tutorial and now for Mary Poppins!
We started by finding the simpelest white dress that Annie M had in her closet. I grabbed some wide red ribbon from the store and also some felt with an adhesive backing. You can get it at any craft store and made the belt. Other than the belt, I accessorized her (links below) and then added a few small red bows and with that, Mary Poppins was born!
The sash was NOT attached, I just tied it on as she got dressed. I know Mary Poppins didnt have a huge bow on her backside, but I thought the red was cute, so I left it as you see and didnt even bother trimming.
Last and certainly not least, my little Moose! He was our picture perfect penguin! These pictures I took the day his costume arrived in the mail and how precious is he!? I was going to attempt a penguin by using a black shirt, doing the white adhesive felt over it and then a red bow tie, but when I found this complete one on Target clearance for $11 and free shipping, it was too good to be true. Amazon has them for $11 and up, but its not Prime (boooo…) still its adorable and worth the shipping if you need it!
The one pictured is a 3T and my baby is 18 months. It was long, but otherwise fit him fine.
