Our Fourth of July celebrations were quite the hit with the kids and I have to say, each holiday and event just gets better and better with them! I love seeing their little personalities grow and learn as they get to experience all life has for us and I can’t wait to add one more little person to the mix here in a few months!
Here was my favorite picture that I snapped from the evening of the 4th as the sun set over the city and we watched the “pop pops” from my sisters rooftop!
Other than a quick beach trip, a few work days and a few fun city events, we have spent the past few
days weeks recovering from illnesses, working on our cannonball form and planning a few upcoming parties!!
What what!! You KNOW how excited I get about a good themed party!
Annie M will be turning SIX before we know it and she has decided she wants a Spa Birthday Party! Sounds luxurious, right!? In true planning fashion, I have started a Pinterest board and gone to town pinning and casting a vision for the shindig!
….don’t think me too crazy! We are eight weeks out from her birthday and almost ten weeks from Baby Train #4’s due date, so having my ducks in a row will be clutch!
Here is the pin board I created if you want to check it out and follow me there!
This year and last have been so fun because once she chose the theme, I pinned a bunch of ideas and then her and I sat down and looked at it all together! She was so excited and helped me pick colors (teal, pink, purple and gold the Queen Bee says!) and told me things that she loved and things she wasn’t too sure about and from there, the basics were set!
I hopped over to my go to shop for all things partying and crafting (Oriental Trading!) and was thrilled to see the items and party favors they have that will go perfect with our spa party! Eeeeek! Here are a few that I already have my eye on….
As I shopped, I couldn’t help but check out all of the fun summer stuff they have and a ton of it is on sale! Beach balls, sand toys, outdoor toys, squirt guns, balloons (helllllo water ballon toss!!) and more and I was kicking myself that I hadn’t thought to look at the fun glow stuff before the Fourth of July!! I may still snag some glow sticks or bracelets and the like as we love putting these in the bathtub for a glow in the dark bath – and of course using them for upcoming fall holidays, ahem, Halloween!
Of course as I was looking the kids picked out everything they want for the backyard and to play with and here were there favorites…they played Bocce Ball and paddle ball at the beach with our cousins last week so those are must haves!
Items above are found HERE and top left is the “Inflatable Basketball Set,” top right is the “Catch Ball Game Set,” middle left is the “Bocce Ball Set,” bottom left is the “Boom Paddle Game” and bottom right is the “Lacrosse Set.”
So yes, full on party planning mode is beginning to happen around here – as well as nesting, crazy momma mode, lots of OB appointments, still some work stuff and back to school prep mode! Speaking of back to school, do yall do teacher gifts? I need ideas!
I’ll be back soon with a recap of our beach trip, my work happenings, more party stuff and our visit to Turner Field last month!
Send me all things spa party ideas, back to school teacher gift ideas, baby prep ideas and your favorite summer goodies from Oriental Trading!
