What?! You’ve never heard of Mrosty the Iceman??
No worries…my kids hadn’t either, til today.
Obviously, he’s Frosty’s cousin but today, Mrosty was officially birthed in our home and is now know as the happy little ice man who only shows up when snow fails to come, ice covers everything instead and littles are expectant and sad.
Yesterday, our area was predicted 3″-5″ of snow. We were certain we’d at the very least get a dusting of the fluffy white stuff.
When we woke up, there was maybe a measly flurry or two that had ever so delicately landed itself onto the ice. It was still white outside, but super slick and not the dreamy white scene we’d all envisioned waking up to.
In fact, I was in such a winter wonderland wanderlust that I could see the soft flakes that covered our neighborhood. The snowballs kids would throw would float through the air and gently disperse and kids would tackle each other in snow drifts and it would feel like landing in soft cool sheets.
