Some people hate it, I loved it.
As CT3 and I are fast and furiously approaching our 1 year wedding anniversary, I realize how much I miss all of the prepping and planning for the wedding festivities. In one of my recent posts, I mentioned that my family and I made a ton of stuff for my wedding. While it took long hours designing and multiple runs to Sam Flax find the perfect stock, it was all well worth it.
Now, when I say the planning and prepping, I don’t mean the showers and festivities. Don’t get me wrong, I loved mine and I loved all of my friends and family involved and the wonderful gifts received, but I don’t like being the center of attention. I want to do the behind the scenes work and then stand by and watch it come together.
Like I said, I love it. I am obsessed with planning the perfect day on a tight budget. I like to make the impossible possible. I am type A when it comes to the wedding timeline and making sure everything goes down exactly at the right moment, not missing a beat.
This is probably why, if you are engaged, I take no shame in grilling you with a million questions and asking about every detail. I want to know color schemes, dress styles, flower choices, cake tastes and I want to know that the guest book has been chosen, rings picked out and the perfect photographer hired. I am curious what song you will walk down the aisle to, and which verses will be read at your wedding. I want to know the play list at the reception and if there will be drinks and dancing or casual conversation. I am obsessed with the details and want to know every ounce.
My list could go on and on and I secretly think I could give Carly and “the Knot” a run for their money…The whole shebang. I need to be an events coordinator. Seriously.
Here are a few of the homemade wedding goods, we made for me and my hubby’s big day.
Little cards (and supplies used) that I made and sent to all of my bridal party to ask them to be in the wedding.
Hotel Gift Bags for all of the out of town guests
April 5th is our one year anniversary. Do you think I have time to plan it all over again and relive the day!?!
